"The truth will set you free."
Our Soul, the part of us that will exist forever, our eternal self, seeks to be free. This freedom is much deeper than simply doing what we want. True freedom is when the soul is free from sin. When the soul is free from captivity to basal urges. We owe it to our soul and to our flesh to be free
from sin. Contrary to current cultural thinking, truth can be found. The truth states, "draw nigh to God, and God will draw nigh to you." (James 4:8)
As you begin to seek it, you must be warned about the nature of truth: the truth has high price:
You will be alone frequently.
You will be outnumbered always.
You will warn, but few or none will listen.
You will be forced to question the truth you believe, because you will think: "why am I the only one who thinks this way?"
To get answers to that question, you will dig deeper. But what you find there will be even more strange than what you believed before. And when you warn again, you'll be considered mad.
The truth could cost you your comfort.
The truth could cost you your family.
The truth could cost you your dreams.
The truth could cost you your potential.
The truth could cost you your life.
The only question each of us must answer to ourselves and to God is: "am I willing to pay the price?"
Only then will clarity, priorities, perspective, and direction concerning all things in life can be found.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, may the Lord make His face shine upon you, and give you peace.
